Does this exclude public holidays too?
No. This calculator only excludes Saturdays and Sundays. Korean public holidays like Seollal and Chuseok can shift each year depending on substitute-holiday designations, so they aren't reflected here. If holidays matter for your calculation, check a calendar for the relevant period and subtract them separately.
Are the start and end dates included in the day count?
Yes. If the start and end dates fall on weekdays, both are included in the business day count.
Is this the same as a bank's or government office's business days?
Banks and government offices are usually closed on public holidays as well as weekends. Since this calculator only excludes weekends, results may differ from an institution's actual business days when a public holiday falls within the period.
When calculating from a base date, does the base date itself count?
No. Counting starts from the next (or previous) business day after the base date. For example, calculating 1 business day after a Monday gives you Tuesday.
